iPhone 6 To Have 8-MP Camera

Apple is one company that does not compete the way Android devices do. While Android smartphones come with bigger and higher resolution displays, Apple seems to be happy with the 4-inch display on the iPhone 5s Android smartphones also come with higher resolution cameras than that of iPhones, still Apple iPhones deliver better output. Thanks to the camera technology that Apple has evolved over time.
Late last year there have been multiple rumors suggesting that Apple would bump up the camera on the next iPhone to up to 16-MP. The earlier rumors are now rubbished with the arrival of the new one, this one suggests that Apple will continue with the same 8-MP camera and wont bump up more megapixels into it. Instead the company will focus on improving the image quality with the 8MP camera. Apple is likely to introduce Optical Image Stabilization along with larger sensor and aperture for best photos even in low light conditions.
iPhone 6 will have the iSight camera with a sensor size of 1/2.66-inch and aperture of f/2.0. Previously Apple included an 8MP camera on both iPhone 4s and iPhone 5 but had some differences in the way they worked. The recently launched iPhone 5s also has an 8MP camera but the sensor size is little bigger with higher aperture value. With iPhone 6 even if Apple wants to increase the megapixels it wont go above 10-MP, and the company would still focus on bettering the image quality rather than competing the megapixel race.
There is no hardcore or official data on the matter of iPhone 6, lets wait for the official announcement to continue this discussion ahead. The official announcement of the device is expected around September this year. Stay tuned and I will be back with more details on the subject soon.
